The Green Team are making fantastic progress!
We mix the compost with shovels, trowels and forks every week, Mandy Fuller (mum of Alex in 4P) is continuing to supply us with used ground coffee beans, vegie scraps and egg shells from The Fairmont and our plants are really starting to take off! Thank you to all the diligent Ellison people who remember to bring their egg shells into school and are placing them into the ‘Egg Shells Only’ compost bucket! Next we will get the worm farms up and running as the compost will be ready to use! Hopefully, we will get lots of ‘Liquid Gold’ fertiliser from our worms!
MAY GARDENING
The magnolia tree is the prize we won for our scarecrow 'JT Ellison' (named after John Thomas Ellison who originally owned and donated the land) at the Leura Harvest Festival. Sonya from Bunnings came out and donated more plants and gloves etc.
